Elizabeth L. Garcia (Grandma Betty) age 87, gained her angel wings on November 11, 2023 in Worland, Wyoming.

Betty was born on February 5, 1936 in Starr County, Texas to Joseph Lane and Maria Falcon. At the age of 17, she met the true love of her life, Ruben B. Garcia. They were married on September 14, 1953 in Greeley, Colorado. After relocating back to Texas they welcomed their two sons Ruben Jr. and Daniel. In 1960 they moved to Wyoming. For many years she worked as a housekeeper at the Washakie Hotel, Town House Motor Inn and for many of her beloved friends for over forty years. She loved working for "her ladies" as she called them and of course Mike Healy, who cherished her deeply.

Later on, she became a grandmother and eventually a great-grandmother. She was also known throughout the community as "Grandma Betty." All her grandchildren were the highlight of her life! She loved going to their sporting events and cheering them on, no matter how cold it was outside. They enjoyed listening to her stories from her childhood.

She led an example of her faith in God. During good times and bad times she always prayed, sang, or whistled in the name of Jesus. Grandma Betty leaves behind her legacy of faith, trust, and honor in God. She was a member of New Life Christian Center for over forty years.

Her hobbies included; going to the thrift store, going for walks, taking drives, loving the outdoors and shopping on QVC. Betty also liked keeping family traditions such as making tamales, menudo and bunuelos.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben; her parents, Joe and Maria; her brothers, Tipton, Sammy, Joe, and Ted; and her sister Inez Garcia.

Betty is survived by her two sons, Ruben Garcia and Daniel (Rachel) Garcia; grandchildren, Nicolaus (Samantha) Garcia, their children, McKenzie and Kyetano; Joshua (Sarah) Garcia, their children, Ella, Kade, and Mattea; Tabitha (Gregory) Melton, their children, Faith, Carson, and Chloe; Leticia (Troy) Garcia, their daughter, Kaelina; Daniel Garcia, his children, Haley, Malachi, Deyjah, and Uriah; Isaiah (Angie) Garcia, their children, Cole, Dane, and Brooke; Alysha (Nick) Smith, their daughter, Copen Smith; great-great grandson, Noxx; her brothers Lloyd (Delia) Lane and Frank Lane; her sisters Lilian Lane, Esther Patin, and Dorothy Lane.
