10-U Cal Ripken team heads to Regional tourney

Pictured above is Worland's 10-U Cal Ripken baseball team which captured the state championship with a 17-5 victory over Buffalo in the championship game of the Wyoming Cal Ripken State 10-U Tournament Sunday, July 12, 2015. In back from left are coaches Charles Gilmore, Gary Gilmore and Jerry Leyva Sr. The team left Worland Tuesday morning for West Linn, Oregon, where they will be competing in the 2015 Pacific Northwest 10-U Regional Tournament. Pool play begins Thursday where Worland will face Meridian, Idaho, at 11 a.m. then the host team West Linn Select at 6:30 p.m.
