Wyoming Sugar yields record beet harvest

WORLAND - Wyoming Sugar’s beet harvest exceeded expectations this year with a record harvest and record sugar content.

Wyoming Sugar Vice President Vince Salzman said, “The 10,600 acres planted usually yields around 31 tons per acre which equals 328,600 tons per season. This year the 10,600 acres yielded 31.8 tons per acre which equals 337,080 tons this season, with a record sugar content...
