Farmers opposed to burning regulations

WORLAND – There was a general consensus among the farmers and burners who attended Tuesday afternoon’s public hearing for the draft of temporary Washakie County Burning Resolution. Farmers and burners do not want and do not see the point of burning regulations.

The public hearing was attended by almost 20 burners and farmers, the Washakie County Commissioners, Washakie County Clerk Mary Grace Strauch and John Walker of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality.

Quickly, many of farmers expressed their dismay over the regulations.
