I wonder why the United States doesn’t have a better way of selecting the party nominees for president. Why for the most important position in the country do we let every state set up their own system, their own time. Some states have caucuses, some conventions, some actual primary elections, some, like Wyoming used to have straw polls but Republican bylaws no longer allow straw polls unless they are “binding” for that candidate.
