Five suspended Wyoming men basketball players issued citations

March 11, 2016

LARAMIE (AP) — Court records show that five Wyoming basketball players suspended for the remainder of the season last week have been cited by campus police for marijuana use.

The Laramie Boomerang reports that Hayden Dalton, Morris Marshall, Andrew Moemeka, Justin James and Austin Conway were cited March 3 with use of a controlled substance.

Each citation includes a $750 bond and requires them to appear March 21 in court.

Coach Larry Shyatt announced the suspensions just days before the Cowboys’ first game of the Mountain West Conference Tournament against Utah State on Wednesday. The Cowboys lost to the Aggies 88-70.

Shyatt stated that the players failed to meet expectations off the court.

None of the five players were regular starters.
