Competency hearing scheduled for reservation double-slaying

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — A federal judge has ordered a hearing to determine if a Wyoming man is competent to stand trial in the slaying of a couple on Montana’s Crow Indian Reservation.
U.S. District Judge Susan Watters scheduled the hearing in the case of Jesus Deniz Mendoza for Nov. 21.
