The Northern Wyoming Daily News has received a report of a power outage that will occur To 7 pm this evening until midnight. The outage will impact Worland residents east of 15th Street including some oil fields.

The following is a statement from Rocky Mountain Power about Friday night's power outage.

Rocky Mountain Power crews will be working to replace a damaged power line structure in Worland, Wyoming this evening. The emergency repair requires that a large outage for customers east of 15th Street in Worland will be necessary from 7 p.m. until about midnight. The outage will also affect oil field customers east of town.

In many cases, damage repairs can be done safely with minimal disruption to service, but in this case, the nature of the damage and the power lines affected requires an outage.

Rocky Mountain Power apologizes to affected customers for the inconvenience, and crews will work diligently to complete the repairs as soon as safely possible.
