Dorothy Ruby Hook, 87, died at the Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on July 18, 2017. Ruby was born September 30, 1929 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Arthur and Effie (Long) Walker. She was married to the love of her life Robert L. Hook in Galveston Texas on August 16, 1946. Robert died in 2009.

Robert worked for Mobil Oil and they were transferred to Worland, Wyoming in June of 1961. She met many friends and learned to play Bridge which became a passion. After many years she reached Life Master in Bridge. Ruby's life was about her family, which she would do anything for. She helped raise her great-granddaughter, Jennifer. Ruby loved to travel to see family and friends. She loved the ocean and took her family multiple times to San Diego to stay on the ocean.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Floyd Walker, Ray Walker, 3 sisters Pauline Kline, Reba Hendryx, Vera Gold Anderson.

Ruby is survived by her son and daughter: Robert F. (Karin) Hook of Lake Forest, California, Cheryl I. Pederson of Worland, Wyoming, two grandchildren: Richard C. Pederson, Jr. and Paul Robert Pederson, three great-grandchildren: Jennifer Schulder, Daimion Pederson, and Soren Pederson, great-great-grandchild: Ryan Watson, brother: Robert L. (Pam) Walker of Claycomo, Missouri and many very dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church. Burial will be at a later date in Seminole, Oklahoma.
