Ed attended Gladstone High School in Azusa, CA where he lettered in both Football as a middle linebacker and track as a pole-vaulter. He'd credit his love for the stage as an actor in the school's drama program. Ed married his High School sweetheart Bridget Schardein in 1970 and together they had four children. Jeanette, Rachael, Edward and Sharon. Ed and Bridget divorced in 1978 and in 1987, he married Joanie Spacia. Joanie passed in 1994 due to complications from diabetes.

Although he grew up in a city, he was a cowboy at heart. He moved to Apple Valley in the mid 90's and his love of horses and all things rural finally took him to Worland WY seven years ago. It's there where he lived a true cowboys life.

Ed enjoyed riding horses and motorcycles. But more than anything, he enjoyed preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. As the Chaplin for Cops for Christ, he traveled the country testifying to both officers and inmates. He ran a homeless organization in Ontario CA, that fed, clothed and housed hundreds of families every week.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday August 16th at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills. 21300 Via Verde Drive, Covina, CA 91724 and officiated by Chris Brown of North Coast Church.
