Ten Sleep Parade of Lights Saturday

December 14, 2017

TEN SLEEP – The annual Ten Sleep Parade of Lights, hosted by the Ten Sleep – Hyattville Lions Club with the theme of “snowpokes,” starts Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m.

Event organizer Becky Cooper stated that there should be at least a dozen floats adorned with lights and music. Santa will also be taking the time to visit Ten Sleep, ride on a float or fire truck in the parade and visit with children after the parade at Dirty Sally’s.

Cooper stated that she would like to have all the floats lined up on Cottonwood Street (next to the rodeo grounds) in Ten Sleep by 6 p.m. “I would like to have everyone lined up by 6 p.m. because we usually have a generator issue. That way everyone can test their stuff and be ready to go by 6:30 p.m.,” she said.

The parade will run up the main street in Ten Sleep east ward bound, ending at the Flying A Animal Health Veterinary practice. The announcers and judges will be located at the Crazy Woman Café, about halfway along the parade route.

Prizes will be awarded and Cooper stated that she thinks that the prizes consist of cash prizes and gift certificates.

“Sounds like it’s going to be pretty good, if everyone shows up,” Copper said.
