WORLAND – Last weekend, the WHS speech and debate team had a meet in Greybull where they grabbed another win. Worland placed second overall and captured first place for 3A schools.

Multiple individuals and duets broke through during the meet. Sullie-Ann Keuntjes won overall in dramatic interpretation. Jack Vines and Cody Butterfield placed first in duets, Nathaniel Nelson and Clare Neylon placed second, and Guendylan Byrd and Raeth Tolman won third, according to Speech and Debate coach Rick Dorn.

“Nathaniel’s and Clare’s duet wasn’t doing great at the beginning of the season,” Dorn said. “But they worked hard that week to fix it and it really paid off.”

The team will not be competing this weekend as they host the ‘Worlando Beach Tournament’ Friday and Saturday.
