Spring burning? Plan ahead, avoid burning in state rights-of-way

WORLAND - As temperatures begin to warm and the winter snows melt, many ranchers, farmers and other people head outside to begin their annual agricultural burns.

This picture shows right-of-way fencing that was replaced after an agricultural prescribed burn moved outside private property and destroyed the state-owned right-of-way fencing in northwest Wyoming. Citizens planning prescribed burns are urged contact the National Weather Service for weather forecasts before lighting the match.
