Worland High School drama students honored

WORLAND – Thursday night at Worland High School, the 54 students making up the drama department were honored. The banquet was to award students of their outstanding work and participation during the year.

WORLAND – Thursday night at Worland High School, the 54 students making up the drama department were honored. The banquet was to award students of their outstanding work and participation during the year.

Students were awarded plaques, certificates, and pins for their time spent this school year with the drama department. They were honored either for their time with working on the school’s annual plays and musicals, all-state or helping out Drama teacher Rick Dorn.

The main awards given out were to Saibrynn Dover for best actress, Dane Bennett for best actor, Morgan Pennington and Delanie Campbell for best supporting actors/actresses and Zoe Fernandez, Josiah Sanchez and Paris Caines for technical feats.

Seniors Tristan Nemyo, Maclin Wiley, Josiah Sanchez, Emily Brown, Joslyn Alonzo, Paris Caines, Dane Bennett, Cherith Ferrett, Delanie Campbell, Morgan Pennington, Matthew Sanchez, Jamon Dower, Kasia Strohman, Lili Bush, Tanner Zimmerman, Jay Gryzbowski and Saibrynn Dover were also recognized for their time spent with the drama department and the amount of work they put in.

Also honored were members of the Thespian Honors Society, honorable mentions from all-state, and everyone who had participated in the club.

During the banquet, Dorn also mentioned plans for next school year’s drama department, including what they’re considering for the fall and spring musicals – The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Shrek the Musical.
