The audience in a packed room listens intently as parents, activists and legislators talk about parental rights, the removal of explicit books and the teaching of "gender ideology" in Wyoming's schools. Though some of the speakers distanced their efforts from anti-LGBTQ rhetoric, many of them conflated issues like gender identity and LGBTQ representation with concerns about explicit books and the sexualization of children.
