University of Wyoming state horticulture specialist Chris Hilgert and Washakie County Extension intern BJ Bender plant tomatoes at the community garden during an open house/tour for the public Monday night. In the background, setting out more plants for putting in the ground, is Worland Community Garden coordinator Susan Pennington. The community garden this year has tomatoes, corn, lettuce, three variety of beans, onions, cucumbers, beets, peas, broccoli, cabbage, four variety of potatoes, a sunflower "house", watermelon, cantelope and pumpkins, along with some herbs. There are a few planters that also house additional vegetables planted by Big Brothers Big Sisters and Big Horn Enterprises.
