WORLAND — A new wave of phone scams has hit the Worland area.

According to Washakie County dispatch logs, three Worland businesses received phone calls Monday from people claiming they were from Rocky Mountain Power and that the businesses’ bills were past due.

Larsen’s Bicycle, King’s Carpet and the Sunset Inn all received phone calls from the reported scammers Monday afternoon.
