Warriors look to contend for team title at state tournament

WORLAND – A total of 49 schools from across Wyoming will be represented today as teams converge at the Casper Events Center for the Wyoming High School State Wrestling Championships.

Class 3A is home to 16 of those teams, including the Worland Warriors.

And while some may hope to bring home an individual state champion or two, others – like the Warriors – look to be in the mix for an overall team title.

Worland may have shocked some as it edged out perennial-favorite Douglas at the 3A East tournament last weekend in Torrington – well, except itself of course.
