State begins response to help coal workers laid off

CHEYENNE (AP) — Wyoming agencies are mobilizing to help workers being laid off from two large coal mines in the northeast part of the state.

The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, the Wyoming Department of Insurance, the Wyoming Community College Commission and the Wyoming Business Council are opening temporary community resource centers in Casper, Gillette and Douglas.
