WORLAND – The Washakie County Library in Worland will be displaying Worland photographer, Diana Anderson's, photographs April 18 – May 18. Anderson's photography captures the innocence and beauty of babies and expectant mothers. The display will also feature several books about the subject.

Anderson has had a passion for photography from an early age. "My father bought me my first good camera when I was a girl and I would take it everywhere taking pictures of everything," Anderson stated. "It wasn't until my daughter was born that I learned my new passion, photographing newborns, babies and maternity," she added.

Anderson has been voted as one of the top 20 most interesting Wyoming artists to follow on Instagram. "I mainly post my pictures on social media, and one day I received a message from Instagram telling me that I was considered one of the top 20 most interesting Wyoming artists to follow on Instagram. I was really surprised because I hadn't participated in any contest or anything like that. They chose me out of all the photographers to post to Instagram," Anderson marveled.

Photography, while having always been a passion of Anderson, wasn't her original career plan. Anderson, who is originally from Guatemala, is a lawyer. "I graduated last December in Guatemala. I can't practice here but I am a lawyer in Guatemala," she said. "I come from a family of lawyers. My father is a lawyer, my older brother is a lawyer and my younger sister is a judge in Guatemala. My mother is a psychologist," she added.

Anderson, who resides in Worland with her husband of five years and her 18-month-old daughter, works out of her home.
