Christina Juanita Dabalos, 67, former Worland resident passed away on April 29, 2016 in Casper, Wyoming.

Christina Juanita Dabalos was born on April 4, 1949 in Worland a daughter of Jose & Gracie May (Smallwood) Dabalos. She was baptized on September 25, 1949 at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and her God parents are Phillip & Alice Chavis. She received her education in Worland and graduated with the class of 1967. Her first job was making tortes for her parents in the Mexico City Café.


She was married to Joe Sosa on November 10, 1963 in Worland to this union was born Guadalupe Sosa and Rosemarie Sosa. Joe & Christina went each other's way in 1967. As young women she worked at Worland Cleaner, also driving beet truck for Carl Reynolds for 5 years at Napa and then at Pamilda. Christina raised her children in Worland until 1981 when she moved to Casper, Wyoming working at American Linen. She was married to Alan Stingley in 1983. Moved to Lawton, Oklahoma where she worked at Coles Cleaners. During this time she also worked at Stiners Corporation as a seamstress.


They moved back to Casper in 1988 and worked for Allied Van lines. They went their separate ways in 1992.

Christina was married to Steven Short in 1994 in Casper. She worked with Defense Technology as an assembly worker. They went each other's way in2003. Christina continued to live in Casper working at the Federal Court Building under Goodwill as a custodian from 2000 to 2016.


Hobbies: Loved to take photographs, and using her movie camera, cooking Mexican food, lover of Mexican music, 60's music, dancing, traveling, and loved many different type of crafts, she loved springtime with grandkids, Great grandkids, and Godchildren.

She received her nurse's aid certificate, drove Semi tractor trailer and received her education in 1985 in Orange Park, Florida in 1986. She also received her cashier's certificate in Lawton, OK, She loved her American Flag for what it stands for freedom of all race, her children, grandkids and God children.

She was a member of the American Legion in Worland for 18 years and the VFW woman's Auxiliary in Casper for 21 years, and a member of St Anthony's Catholic Church in Casper for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Gracie Dabalos, baby girl, Esperanza; brothers, Johnny & Tony Dabolas, Verlin Phillips and Leo Dabalos, Mike Chavis, Ronald Chavis, sisters; Bea Pindale and Rosie Herrera and Monica Chavis; God Parents; Alice& Phillip Chavis , Her baby Dog Chico.

She is survived by her daughter Rose Marie Sosa of Thermopolis, Son, Guadalupe (Anita) Sosa in Casper, WY, brother Chester Phillips of Worland, sisters Joan Luce of Thermopolis, Wanda Johnson of Worland, God sisters Peggy Bowas, Lorie Reiter, Seven grandkids Mathias, Patrick, Elizabeth, Jaunita, Maryah, Robert, and Sosa. Great Grandchildren; Aarionna, Lily, Zivaya, Evanber Joe; Godkids: Signe Svenay, Billy Meyer and Juanita Villegas. several nieces, nephews. Christina is going to be missed by a lot of family and friends. Christina says to them "Keep on going no matter what happens".

Funeral services will be held at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church 11:00 am, Friday, May 6, 2016 with Father Ray Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at http://www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
