I was 9 years old when my family moved to Green River, Wyoming. Having previously lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, for my entire known existence, moving to a state with half the population of Vegas was jarring. Wyoming offered much more in terms of outdoors but stores closing at 8 p.m. and sometimes for the weekend was mind blowing for a young Alex Kuhn.
