Gibbons and her horse also placed third in western pleasure, reserve champion is western horsemanship, reserve champion in ranch riding, and reserve champion in reined cow horse.

“Overall state fair went very well for the few girls that competed in horse, and represented our county very well,” she said

Makayla Fulfer competed for Chief Washakie FFA and earned second in breakaway, fifth in western riding, seventh in working cow horse and eighth in poles.

Washakie County 4-H Educator Amber Armajo said, “We had a great representation at the 2016 Wyoming State Fair from Washakie County. A great group of young people along with supportive and helpful parents.

“It is a long week, full of shows, washing, clipping, cleaning and having fun! It is true dedication on the part of these young people and they did a great job, there is laughter, hugs, smiles, a few tears and a lot of determination happening all week. We are proud of each and every one of them for setting goals and striving to achieve them.”

She noted that Walker Cooper was fifth in junior beef showmanship.
