Support the troops: Write a note to include in monthly care package

October 29, 2016

WORLAND — Worland’s Support Our Troops will be sending out the monthly boxes next week for troops serving.

For this month the volunteers are seeking cards or notes to include in the boxes letting the troops know how much they are appreciated.

The group accept any donation, monetary or otherwise. Some items in the packages include pre-packaged jerky, small canned goods, pre-packaged cookies and snacks, gum, toiletry items, reading material, packaged nuts and dried fruits, and any other food that will not melt. Small things like cards, games, puzzle books or other items that can fit in a 12x12x6 box.

Packages are sent to any soldier who has some connection to Worland.

These items can be dropped off at American Legion Post No. 44 after 4 p.m. every day. Any donation for this month need to be dropped off by 4 p.m. Thursday. Volunteers begin putting together boxes at 6:30 p.m.

All monetary donations will either go toward purchasing items for the boxes or paying for postage.

Support the Troops is a non-profit organization, relies completely on donations from the community, and those who put the packages together are all volunteers
