Fire weather watch in effect Saturday

WORLAND — The National Weather Service issued a fire weather watch for the South Big Horn Basin including Worland from noon through 7 p.m. Saturday.

The watch is in effect for gusty southwest winds and low relative humidity. According to the NWS, increasingly dry and windy conditions Saturday ahead of an approaching weather system may cause fire danger to rise into the extreme for a few hours Saturday afternoon and evening.

Winds are forecast to be 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 to 40 mph and humidity at around 15 percent.
