Hunter Fest kicks off season in Ten Sleep today

October 14, 2017

TEN SLEEP – The 23rd annual Hunter Fest welcomes hunters and outdoorsmen to Ten Sleep today, serving up food, entertainment and prizes from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. downtown.

Sponsored by the Town of Ten Sleep and the Worland Ten Sleep Chamber of Commerce, with corporate sponsorship from around the region, this year’s festival will feature live music from Rattlesnake Ridge and a chili cook-off and chili feed.

Up to 15 vendors are expected, including information booths from Wyoming Game and Fish and local search and rescue services.

Raffles this year include bows, rifles and shotguns, along with hunting gear.

“We’re always looking for more people to help with Hunter Fest, at a local level,” said Justin Smith, chamber member, reminding local business that the festival is a great opportunity to introduce local products and services to a wide audience of out-of-state visitors.

As a tradition, the festival will be followed by the annual Harvest Dinner at the Ten Sleep School, featuring local food and crafts for auction, with all proceeds benefitting the Ten Sleep Library Ten Sleep Ambulance. Tickets for Harvest Dinner are available at the door, and are $10 for adults, $5 for children.
