November 4, 2017

WORLAND — The Worland fourth-graders and the Ten Sleep School will be hosting Veterans Day programs next week.

Worland fourth-graders will present their annual program at 7 p.m. Monday at the Worland Middle School Auditorium.

Music instructor and program director Beth Magstadt said the program, “is very focused on veterans this year, as always.” She said it is a patriotic program emphasizing that they are proud to be Americans.

She said they worked on making the sure the program presented a positive patriotic message.

The program includes narrations, a PowerPoint and music.

She said there is a lot of non-traditional patriotic music with the only song most people might be familiar with “This Land is Your Land.”

The “Salute to Our Veterans” will run about 45 minutes.

There will be a dress rehearsal at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Magstadt said those unable to attend the evening performance are welcome to attend the rehearsal.

TEN SLEEP

Ten Sleep Schools will present “Never Forget Their Service,” a Veterans Day program at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9. A lunch for all veterans will follow the program.

Program Director Karen Loveland a ladies community choir will provide music, along with the school band and elementary and middle school choirs.

“The highlight of the program is our flag ceremony that will be led by Don Conway,” Loveland said.

She added that Conway is working with the Cub Scouts again this year for the flag ceremony. “They were so excited about that and thrilled last year. We think it’s a really special part of our program,” she said.
