'Significant' snow fall coming to the mountains

Streets continue to be cleared from the last storm as more snow is forecast for today and Saturday.

WORLAND - A winter storm will be impacting the west and northern areas over the next few days, according to the National Weather Service.

Significant snow fall is possible in the western mountains with the heaviest snow falling between Friday and Saturday.  

A cold front associated with this system will also move through over the weekend causing temperatures to plummet.

According to the NWS forecast, Friday, Worland should see a 20 percent chance of snow after 2 p.m. with a high near 22 and low around -2. There is also a 20 percent chance of snow after 11 a.m. on Saturday with high near 17 and low around -10. Lows for the rest of the weekend and early next week are minus single digits, except Sunday with the low around -15, as the coldest night for the week.
