Charlie McPike

January 31, 2018

Charlie McPike has driven his patrol car into the sally port for the final time, he surrendered his badge and keys to the Good Lord on January 27, 2018. He was born April 17, 1937 to Stoney and Phyllis McPike. Law enforcement being his chosen profession, he arrested many a suspect, wrestled with many a criminal, calmed many a lost soul with his wisdom, and soothing voice. He was a good man, a very special man indeed. Loved by many, respected by many, cherished by one, his widow, Maggi. He was blessed with 5 children - Melody, Starla, Kevin, Keri, Rob - from his first marriage to Linda. And was blessed with 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Many adventures he went on with family and friends. Trading, selling, buying, advising on, giving firearms was always a big part of his life. The same road travelled everyday would always reward him with something new to see, over the mountain, long stretches of road, just up over that next hill, up around the bend, many a mile his eyes have seen.

Charlie, may the wind be always at your back.
