WORLAND – Three Worland residents are being held on $30,000 bond after a drug bust last week resulted in several felony charges of child endangerment and possession or delivery of methamphetamine.

Mirra Garcia, Azia Martinez and Clayton L. McCreery had an initial court appearance on Friday in Fifth Judicial District Circuit Court in Worland, after a March 21 arrest following a lengthy investigation by the Joint Drug Task Force.

According to court affidavits, on March 21 the Joint Drug Task Force negotiated a controlled buy of a quantity of methamphetamine from Garcia at a predetermined location in the City of Worland. Garcia then allegedly travelled, with her juvenile child, to the home of McCreery to purchase the controlled substance for delivery.

Upon receipt of the substance, the Joint Drug Task Force received a search warrant for the residence of McCreery, and recovered narcotics, marijuana and evidence indicating alleged possession of methamphetamine with intent to sale or distribute.

McCreery was arrested and charged with one charge of delivery of methamphetamine and one charge of child endangerment.

Garcia was arrested and charged with one charge of delivery of a controlled substance and two charges of child endangerment by exposure to methamphetamine.

Martinez, a guest of McCreery’s, was arrested and charged with one count of accessory before the fact to the delivery of methamphetamine and one count of child endangerment.

During the investigation that followed, officers contacted and interviewed Worland David G. Michel, currently on probation, who was found in possession of suspected marijuana, suspected methamphetamine and alcohol. Michel was arrested on misdemeanor charges, and is being held on a $10,000 cash bond.
