Jill Ann Soetmelk (Vang) passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening, March 24th, 2018 at her home in Worland, Wyoming.

Jill was born on November 29th, 1968 in Casper, Wyoming to Judy (Bader) of Ten Sleep, Wyoming and Clayton Vang of Wolbach, Nebraska. She was the youngest of their four children.

She fell in love with David Soetmelk of Greybull, Wyoming and married on July 28th, 2001. They recently made their forever home in Worland with their many pets and traveling daughter, Desiree.

For those who knew Jill, her most amazing quality was her ability to give love and kindness without reservation which extended the fullest to her family, friends, animals, community causes and even random strangers in need of a helping hand.

Jill was a well-known humanitarian in every community she was a part of and always offered everything she could to greater causes through her talents in culinary arts, baking for charity events, volunteering and selflessly giving to others.

Jill is preceded in death by her father, Clayton Vang and father-in-law Jim Soetmelk. She is survived by her husband David James Soetmelk, daughter and best friend Desiree Young, mother Judy Vang and siblings Roy Vang, Tom Seyfang and Diana Fleck, along with all the loving family members that thought the world of Jill and cared for her deeply.

Our family invites those who loved and knew Jill to join us in celebrating her life at the Worland Elks Lodge at 604 Coburn Ave, Worland, WY 82401 at 2:00pm Saturday March 31, 2018 for a ceremony commemorating her life. Shortly after will follow an open invitation pot luck for family, friends and community members. There is a memorial fund in Jill Soetmelk's name at the Big Horn Federal of Greybull and the Big Horn Federal of Worland as well as a GoFundMe that will be created and facilitated by Jill's husband and daughter.

The loss of this angel will be felt by every person and creature on this earth because her kindness has truly changed this world for the better. Jill has taught us that regardless of what humanity looks like today, there is no lack of love or benevolence in the simplest of acts that creates a seed for manifesting a better future.
