Bull rider is back in Casper 1 year after near-fatal ride

CASPER (AP) — One year ago Friday, Bradie Gray almost died.

At the 2017 College National Finals Rodeo, Frontier Rodeo bull Levi the Boss bucked Gray, an Odessa College rider, and stepped on his chest. Gray initially stood up under his own power but had to be carried out of the Casper Events Center arena on a board. He was left with no pulse, collapsed lungs, broken ribs, a broken sternum, a bruised aorta and a 40 percent chance to live, according to doctors at Wyoming Medical Center.

Now, at the one-year anniversary of that ride, Gray has made his return to Casper. He exceeded expectation...
