Plan to put field 4 to use being considered

The proposed plan to change field 4 into three smaller fields for tee-ball and coach pitch leagues.

WORLAND - Field 4 at Newell Sargent Park is hardly used during the baseball and softball seasons, but that could change soon if Worland Recreation Board baseball commissioner Ken Shearer's plan is given the thumbs up by the community.

Shearer is proposing taking field 4, which is seldom used by the adult recreation league softball leagues, and converting it into three separate fields for the tee-ball and coach pitch baseball leagues to use.

"We're looking at making three 100-foot fields for tee-ball and coach pitch, they'd have a 45-foot base path.

"We're looking at getting the community'...
