County valuation up from 2017

WORLAND – According to documents provided by the Washakie County Assessor’s Office, valuations for the county are up in 2018, due to a positive return of oil and gas money generated in the county over the last year.

The Board of County Commissioners is expected to levy the requisite taxes, based on the valuation figures, in early August. A mill levy is the number of dollars a taxpayer must pay for every $1,000 of assessed value on real property.
