Stella May Fritzler

July 21, 2018

Stella Fritzler passed away in Casper, Wyoming on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. She was recently preceded in death by her dear husband, Bruce Fritzler. Stella was born in Worland, Wyoming on November 3, 1931, the daughter of Dr. Donald Porter and Alberta (Kehr) Porter. Stella attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie and in 1951 she married her sweetheart, Bruce. They were loving partners for 67 years.

Stella was a warm and generous woman, with many friends. Of all her accomplishments, Stella's greatest gifts were the love and support she gave to her children and grandchildren.

She had a way of making each child feel special. She was also talented at sewing and quilting, cooking and baking, gardening, and telling stories. She loved to play cards and games with her children, grandchildren and friends. She was active in her church and community in the cities they lived in and enjoyed fishing and golfing. She loved the mountains of Wyoming and spent time in the Big Horn Mountains and the Wind River Mountains of Dubois, where she and Bruce spent their retirement years. They were happy in their retirement, spending time traveling, visiting friends and relatives and spending the winters in the warmth of Arizona.

She was beloved by her family: her five children, Lynne Price and her husband, Dan; Brad Fritzler; Mark Fritzler and his wife, Carla; Lori Morrow and her husband, Tim; and Paul Fritzler and his wife, Leslie, along with her nine grandchildren, Hillary Pohlmann, Shelley Price, Meagan Turnbow, Kelsey Carton, Brianne Crossland, Keegan Morrow, Elle Morrow, Rachel Fritzler and Drew Fritzler and six great grandchildren. She is survived by two siblings, Alice Leadbeater and Jack Porter. Her brother Tom Porter preceded her in death. She was also blessed with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She leaves us rich in memories and the sound of her laughter.

A memorial celebration will be held for both Stella and her late husband Bruce on July 28, 2018 at 10:00 am at Highland Park Church. Donations can be made to Heart of Wyoming Habitat for Humanity.
