Robert Charles Salinas, Sr.

Robert Charles Salinas, Sr. was born May 3, 1966 in Denver, Colorado. He passed away peacefully on August 4, 2018 after battling many years of illness.

He was the son of Felix F. and Elaine J. (Thunderbull) Salinas. He had spent the last 27 years of his life with the woman he truly loved, Lynn Murdoch. Rob had four amazing children, Robert (Angela), Vincent (Shyanne), Mikaylynn and Raylee, along with eleven grandchildren, Alizae, Jaide, Vincent, Jr., Robert David, Tekiah, Avani, Aaliyah, Aiyana, Emmalee, Robert Charles III, and Sypher. Rob deeply loved his children and grandchildren. He cherished the time he was able to spend with them.

He was very passionate about muscle cars and enjoyed everything about them. He graduated from Worland High School in 1984. During his high school years, Rob found great joy playing football for the Warriors, wearing "Big Bad #52". He had attained all-conference and all-state honors during those years. At age 15, he started working for Davis Lumber, continued to Builders Mart and then Bloedorn Lumber. He always looked forward to working at Holly Sugar with his uncles, Vincent and Polo Salinas during campaign. Rob later worked for Big West Auto and finally Worland High School.

He was a huge football fan and you would always find him cheering and betting for his favorite team, the Oakland Raiders. He enjoyed going on adventures with his family and playing the slots at the casino. He loved to play pool and was in many pool leagues, aspiring to someday be a professional. Rob was a member of the Eagles as well as the Wyoming Bikers Association with his dear friend, Gerald Dewey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, older brother, Terry and sister, Shelley.

Rob is survived by his soulmate and partner-in-crime, Lynn Murdoch, four children and his grandchildren, sister, Sheryl Salinas and a special nephew, Brendan Garcia.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Bryant Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
