Each year the host city for the Wyoming Senior Women's Golf Tournament gets to select local charities to donate funds raised through the Wyoming Senior Women's Golf Association. This year Worland hosted the tournament in July with $3,800 donated to the Worland Food Pantry and $3,800 donated to the Washakie County School District No. 1 student assistance fund that also helps fund the Blessings In Backpack program to help fund students' school supplies as well as other student needs. Checks were donated by local golfers last week to the two local organizations. Pictured here are (l-r): Carole Grosch presenting a check to Pastor Tim Trippell of the food pantry for food and the school supplies program, Laura Sutherland and Beth Voss presenting a check to school district business manager Jack Stott, Vasca Gilmore, Sharon Ostrander, Karen Earl, Kathy McKamey and Cathy Caines; (back row) Superintendent David Nicholas, Sandy Tibbs, Brenda Stutheit and Rene Lee.
