Deborah Ann (Wood) Kennedy, 60, of Worland, WY, passed peacefully at home on August 17, 2018 in Carey, ID after a lengthy battle with Inflammatory Breast Cancer.

Deborah was born in Newcastle, WY to Joseph and Marjorie (Garhart) Wood on April 9, 1958. She graduated high school in Newcastle, WY class of 1976. She went on to receive her degree as a cosmetologist from Black Hills Beauty College. She worked for and managed salons for a number of years until she settled in Worland, WY where she owned and operated Cara Salon and Spa, formerly Chimera Salon for the last 18 years. Deborah was a vibrant, warm soul who loved life and lived it to the fullest. She always had a big smile on her face and a warm hug for anyone. She was an artist in every way. Her passion for photography and travel took her to beautiful places, a favorite being the Big Horn Mountains. She enjoyed finding cool rocks to add to her collections in her travels. She was dedicated to her career as a cosmetologist and loved caring for people. She would help anyone in need even when she didn't have much to give. She loved her family with everything she had and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye.

Deborah is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Marjorie, her sister Candy and grandson Chanzhe. Deborah is survived by her significant other Milo Mecham of Carey, ID; son Dustin (Terra) Sears of Kingman, AZ and her two daughters Danae' (Wyatt) Christensen of Thermopolis, WY and Dare'a (Kip) Keim of Sundance, WY; three brothers Dale Wood of Osage, WY, Joe Wood of Osage, WY and Mike (Lisa) Wood of Cody, WY; grandchildren Heaven (Jon) Gier, Katrina Sears, James Christensen, Jaye Christensen, Jilliann Christensen and Savanah Keim and her great granddaughter Gianna Gier; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Cara Salon, 716 Big Horn Ave. Worland, WY. Also Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Kitty Moats Complex, 551 Metz St. Osage, WY.

In lieu of flowers the family encourages family and friends to donate to The American Cancer Society. Deborah's family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Milo for everything. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Huntsman Cancer Center, the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Luke's and the nurses and staff with Hospice Care of Wood River Valley.
