Guardian offers town hall meetings

December 11, 2018

WORLAND — Guardian Flight and the AirMedCare Network Membership program are hosting three question and answer Town Hall Sessions for Washakie County residents.

The sessions are available for anyone who wishes to talk one-on-one with a network representative or have questions about the program answered.

All meetings are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The first meeting is this Wednesday at the Worland Senior Center, then next week on Dec. 19 at the senior center and on Dec. 20 at the Ten Sleep Senior Center.

Washakie County has renewed their agreement with Guardian Flight, a provider in the AirMedCare Network, giving residents peace of mind with no out-of-pocket costs, if flown by an AMCN provider. The initial membership agreement between Washakie County and Guardian Flight was signed in November 2015, giving county residents coverage with AMRG Guardian Flight aircraft. Due to a merger earlier this year, the agreement now provides residents coverage across the entire AMCN coverage footprint.

Residents of Washakie County can pick up their AMCN membership cards at the Washakie County Courthouse, however, membership cards are not necessary for transport or coverage. If you receive a notice for renewal, and are unsure if you are covered, please contact local Membership Manager Breeann Spaulding at 307-670-1411 or [email protected].

Guardian Flight is a participating provider in the AirMedCare Network, the largest membership-supported helicopter air ambulance network in the United States.

Even with medical insurance, an air medical transport may leave patients and their families with thousands of dollars in unexpected out-of-pocket expenses. But, in the event an individual who lives within the boundaries of Washakie County, is flown by Guardian Flight (or any AirMedCare Network participating provider) for a life- or limb-threatening emergency, that AMCN-participating air medical service will work with the patient’s benefits provider to secure payment for the flight. Whatever the patient’s insurance, benefits provider or third-party responsibility pays is considered payment in full, so there are no out-of-pocket expenses.
