WORLAND — Both Worland basketball teams advanced to the 3A West regional semifinals Thursday at Worland High School.

The Lady Warriors led wire-to-wire in their quarterfinal game, downing the Pinedale Lady Wranglers 47-30. The Lady Warriors matchup up against the No. 1-seed out of the Southwest, the Mountain View Lady Buffaloes. Tipoff is at 5 p.m. tonight at WHS, the winner moves on to the regional championship game and qualifies for state. The loser plays the winner of Powell-Big Piney at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

The Warriors battled their way to a hard-fought 49-47 win over the Mountain View Buffaloes. For their semifinal matchup the Warriors play the Lander Tigers for the fourth time this season at 8 p.m tonight.

Winner of the Worland-Lander games clinches a spot for the state tournament next weekend in Casper, and advances to the regional championship game. While the loser plays the winner of Big Piney-Lovell at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
