WORLAND — Due to upcoming construction to their facility Crisis Prevention and Response Center will be temporarily operating out of the Worland Community Center board room.

Business line and 24-hour Crisis HotLine have remained the same.

CPRC Director Karina Pacheco-Rice said, “Thank you for being understanding during this transition and we are looking forward to the completion of our facility.”

The current facility is just about 600 square feet. The new addition will be 1,214 square feet, making the entire center, 1,799 square feet.

The total project bid awarded to Hughes Truss was $436,050. Rattlesnake Field Services was hired as the subcontractor for the demolition work.

The addition will include a fourth office, American with Disabilities Act compliant men’s and women’s restrooms, and a playroom to separate children from the reporting party. Rice said being able to separate the children while talking to the person reporting the abuse prevents the child from enduring any second-hand trauma.

The addition will also include a multi-purpose/conference room.
