New fourth grade teacher looks to succeed in first year at West Side

New fourth grade teacher Ashley Weaver helps lead a reading group in discussion during their reading time on Tuesday morning.

WORLAND – Becoming a teacher appeared to be the perfect fit for Ashley Weaver, with teaching being a large part of her family as a whole, she became a new fourth grade teacher at West Side Elementary this 2019-20 school year.

"I have always had wonderful teachers and enjoyed being in school more than most children," Weaver said. "My mom suggested that teaching would be a perfect fit for me and what I wanted out of life."

After graduating with honors from Murray State University in Kentucky, Weaver originally started teaching in Jackson, Tennessee, but felt like there could be a better fit...
