James Arlee McCann, a previous resident of Worland, Wyoming, passed away on October 4, 2019, in Broussard, Louisiana of an undetermined illness. He was born on February 15, 1937, in Billings, Montana, to Abraham Lincoln (Link) McCann and Merle Alice Miller (McCann) Adams.
Jim graduated from Hysham, Montana School system in 1954. He owned McCann Standard Filling Station in Worland alongside his dad. He went on to work for Tretolite and its successors in Gillette, Casper, and Texas. He had a love of fly fishing and the Big Horn Mountains, hunting, and camping, that he shared with many family members.
He is survived by his current wife, Linda Block McCann of Broussard, Louisiana; sister, Shirley Mead (Marvin) of Worland, Wyoming; son, Gary McCann (Kathy) of Broussard, Louisiana; daughter, Cindy Wade (Alan) of Bakersfield, California; and numerous grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Abraham Lincoln (Link) McCann and Merle Alice Miller (McCann) Adams; his first wife, Connie (St. Clair) McCann; and his youngest son, Bret McCann.
To honor his wishes, a private ceremony will be held in the Big Horn Mountains as his ashes are laid to rest with his first wife and youngest son.
