As the search continues for 16-year old Selena Not Afraid, the Bighorn County Sheriff's Office

would like to remind the public to report tips to our tipline: (406) 665-9800.


Our office has been investigating Not Afraid's disappearance since she was reported missing on

the afternoon of January 1, 2020. She was last seen at a rest stop on Interstate 90 near mile

marker 474 at the east bound rest area. This is a joint investigation with the Bureau of Indian

Affairs, the FBI, and numerous local and state law enforcement agencies, which are providing


additional resources to assist in this case.

Not Afraid is 5'9", 130-135 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a

black coat, gray sweater, blue jeans and gray ankle boots. She has a small scar near her mouth

and a tattoo of a cross on her left middle finger.
