Meetings on hunting season set; Worland meeting March 31

CODY - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will conduct six open-house style meetings throughout the Big Horn Basin with one final meeting in Worland to discuss 2020 hunting season proposals for game birds and big game.
During the open houses, Game and Fish personnel will be available to discuss proposed changes to 2020 hunting seasons for local hunt areas. A final meeting, during which statewide seasons may be discussed, will be held from 6-8 p.m. March 31 at the Washakie County Fairgrounds in Worland.
Public input is valued and an important part of the season setting process. "We encourage the public to take this opportunity to attend a local meeting," said Corey Class, wildlife management coordinator for the Cody area. "To accommodate those who can't attend a meeting in-person, online commenting forms and other related information will be posted under the Get Involved tab at wgfd.wyo.gov."

March 25 - Greybull, Town Hall (24 South 5th St.), 5-8 p.m.
March 25 - Meeteetse, Conservation District Office (1906 State St.) 6-8 p.m.
March 26 - Powell, Park Co. Fairgrounds, Heart Mountain Hall (655 E 5th St.), 5:30-8 p.m.
March 26 - Thermopolis, Big Horn Federal Bank (643 Broadway St.),
6-8 p.m.
March 30 - Cody, Park Co Library, Grizzly Room (1500 Heart Mountain St.), 5:30-8 p.m.
March 30 - Lovell, Fire Hall (314 Nevada Ave.),
5-8 p.m.
March 31 - Worland, Washakie County Fairgrounds (501 15 Mile Rd.) 6-8 p.m.
Written comments shall be accepted through 5 p.m. on April 3, 2020 at public meetings, online or by mailing: Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Regulations, 3030 Energy Lane, Casper, WY 82604.
Copies of the proposed regulations are available on the Game and Fish website and at the address above in accordance with Chapter 1 Regulation Governing Access to Public Records.
Written comments shall be presented to the Game and Fish Commission prior to the public hearing at their April 2020 meeting in Riverton.
