On January 11, 1957, he married Caroline Denny Roberts in Thermopolis. During the last 60's he managed two Montana ranches prior to returning to the home ranch that he and Caroline purchased. On the home ranch, he spread water to all corners of the Copper Mountain ranch through pipelines which were the first pipelines on the mountain.

Denny was aware of all his surroundings, taking pride in knowing all the birds, plants and was glad to teach all who would listen. He used to say, "The world was supported by all the living organisms in the first six inches of the soil". He was a good environmentalist, but he despised sagebrush, but you all know that!
