Our Loving Lord called Dorothy Lou Greco home on December 23, 2021. She passed peacefully at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Montana at the age of 80.

Dorothy was born on February 28, 1941, in Havelock, North Dakota to Henry and Emma (Buchholz) Lutz. She attended schools in North Dakota and Montana. Dorothy met her husband Joseph A. Greco Sr. in Great Falls, Montana. The couple was married on November 29, 1959, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in various states throughout their marriage, and settled in Worland, WY in 1980. She worked at Crown Cork & Seal Co Inc from 1980 until retirement in 2006. Although Dorothy loved retirement, she was not one to sit around, and to help fill her days, she worked briefly at the Northern Wyoming Daily Newspaper and the Worland Senior Center.

Dorothy was a loving, dedicated, funny, hard-working woman. She was an awesome cook, who always welcomed anyone to her table for a meal but was known the most for being the best donut maker. If you asked her opinion about anything, Dorothy would not hesitate to tell you exactly what she thought. She was feisty, quick-witted, and never missed an opportunity to crack a joke to make you smile.

She loved her family more than anything and constantly made sacrifices to ensure their happiness and well-being. Her children, including her stepchildren, who she never thought or referred to as such, were her life. She loved all her children unconditionally but would have no problem giving them advice or guidance when they were not making good choices. She was always honest and straightforward, so they never had to wonder what she was thinking. She was also a devoted and loving wife to her husband, who she shared thirty-nine beautiful years with. During his darkest moments, while he was struggling with health issues, she was always by his side and took care of him until his final day.

Once retired, she loved traveling and visiting her children and siblings whenever possible. This included trips with her son to Montana, Connecticut, New York, Oregon, North Dakota, South Dakota, Florida and Casper. One of her most memorable trips was to China with her brother, Les and sister, Betty. At the tender age of 70, she was granted her birthday wish and went skydiving with her sons-in-law. When at home, Dorothy enjoyed watching game shows and old westerns on TV.

She was a fighter and overcame many challenges in her lifetime and battled back from a variety of medical issues, all while maintaining a positive attitude. She lost her final battle while surrounded by her loving family, who were able to share many stories about what a wonderful, ornery person she was. She is now pain free and celebrating in heaven. In summary, we can all hear her saying her famous words “Other than that, that’s all I know!”

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step-son, Tommy, brothers, Walter, Clifford and Norman Lutz and great-great-grandson, Calvin Webb.

Dorothy is survived by her brothers: Phil (Margaret) Lutz of Great Falls, MT, Ray (Elly) Lutz of Great Falls, Les (Ruth) Lutz of Canyon City, CA, Don (Annamarie) Herrly of Fargo, ND; half-brothers: Randy Lutz of Everett, WA, Edward Lutz of Wichita, KS; sister, Betty Sigler of Black Eagle, MT; half-sisters, Darlene (Edser) Quiros of Mt. Vernon, WA and Sherry Mathis of Lake Stevens, WA; sons, Cliff Greco of Worland, Joseph Greco Jr of Portland, OR; step-sons, Frank (Julie) Greco of Sundance, Mark Greco of Dillon, MT; daughters, Tina (Fabian) Romero of Casper, Kathy Greco (Troy Briceno) of Billings, MT, Betty (Matt) Greco-Brown of Casper; step-daughters, Jeannette (John) Greco of Anaconda, MT and Theresa Beam of East Point, GA; grandchildren: Candy, Frank Jr., Debra, Joe, Samantha, Mike, Beth, Louis, Becki, Nichole, Cody Joe, Dillon, Conor; 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Memorial services will be held June 11, 2022 at the Bryant Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow at the Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
