Serving the Big Horn Basin for over 100 years

Wesley Dale Anderson Jr.

Wesley Dale Anderson Jr., 70, passed away at Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on March 6, 2023.

Dale was born June 14, 1952, to Wesley D. Anderson Sr. and Anna L (Beasley) Anderson at Holloman Air Force Base near Alamogordo, New Mexico.

He graduated from Worland High School in 1970. After high school, he moved to Billings and married Betty Lou Snider in 1971. To this marriage, one son, Shane was born. Dale served his country in the Army National Guard for six years from 1971-1977.

Dale and Betty Lou later divorced, and Dale returned to Worland. In 1975, Dale married Tamara Jo Steers and the couple had three daughters: Dawn, Shawna, and Janelle.

Dale worked in construction and the oil field for many years in the Bighorn Basin for Ralph Wortham Construction, PE Grosch Construction, KCS Oilfield Service, SAGA, and Natural Gas Processing. He retired in 2018 from NGP after a long, successful career.

Dale was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed riding his Harley and frequently visited Sturgis with close friends and family. Dale and his wife, Tamara, enjoyed many summers on the Big Horn Mountains camping and exploring the great Wyoming outdoors. After retirement, Dale picked back up his love of wood-working and enjoyed creating pieces for his friend's and family's homes. Dale's love for his family is most notable and has and will be felt for many generations to come. Of course, this wouldn't be complete without mentioning his adoration of Molly, their four-legged pooch.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Dawn Carpenter.

Dale was survived by his wife, Tamara; son, Shane (Daleen) Anderson of Worland; daughters, Shawna (Kay) Chandler of Gilbert, Arizona and Janelle (Tracy) Anderson of Worland; brother, Don (Jan) Erwin of Kenai, Alaska; sister, Phyllis Jean (Ken) Markley of Billings, Montana; grandchildren: Kelsie (Rob), Kalie (Taylor), Keaton (Natasha), Sheldon (Brennan), Aubrey, McKenna (Joel), Tatiana, and Taden; great-grandchildren: Evelyn, Eloise, Hennzly, Rhyis, Remi, Zaydyn, Eli, and Gunner.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023, at Bryant Funeral Home. Military Honors will be provided by Army National Guard, American Legion Post #44, and Patriot Guard. Memorial donations may be made to Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center or Washakie Memorial Hospital Foundation and sent to PO Box 524, Worland, Wyoming 82401.
