WORLAND - A landslide on Thursday afternoon closed a portion of the Black Mountain Oil and Gas Field on public land on the Washakie/Hot Springs county line. The Bureau of Land Management estimates the landslide to be approximately 10 acres with a depth of 20-30 feet. It destroyed the road to nine wells at the eastern end of the oilfield in Section 31. WORLAND - For the first half in their match against the Douglas Bearcats the No. 4 Worland Warriors were out of sync and having troubles finishing off goals. WORLAND - For the third time in 23 years the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America will make its way through Wyoming. And for the first time it will make a stop in Ten Sleep. The stop is scheduled at about 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, as part of the leg of the ride from Cody to Deadwood, South Dakota. Robert Louis Goncalves, 40, of Worland, Wyoming, passed away May 3, 2017 in Billings, Montana. Robert was born January 17, 1977 to Michael and Deborah (Dixon) Goncalves in Merced, California, the second of three boys. As a boy he played baseball and soccer and participated in 4-H FFA and Cub Scouts. He won a spelling bee in 5th Grade.
