Cowboy Rendezvous Rodeo set to kick off Thursday

Brian Snell of Wheatland got a tough steer in the steer wrestling event at last year's Cowboy Rendezvous Rodeo at the Hot Springs County Fairgrounds in Thermopolis. This year's festivities begin tonight with a packhorse race with the action extending through Saturday including bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc, tie-down roping, team roping, steer wrestling as well as WPRA barrel racing.
WORLAND - The Thermopolis Cowboy Rendezvous Rodeo weekend is set to launch in Thermopolis June 25. The rodeo will continue on through June 28.
According to the Thermopolis Cowboy Rendezvous Rodeo Association website, "Thermopolis was once home of one of the biggest rodeos in the nation and our goal is to restore this event to its former grandeur."
